Keep on Truckin ( Halloween Part 1 ) October 30, 2007
I must work best under pressure, I pulled together this Pot-Bellied Trucker costume in 20 minutes.
Sure does help to have a black pompadour wig laying around.
Thank you Robin and Kammy for waking me from my nap to remind me I needed to kick Halloween into gear Saturday night.
You Talking to Me?
Michael went the distance, he shaved his head…..now that’s commitment.
Kammy Hearts Halloween!
more to come………
Halloween Inspiration October 26, 2007
I’m ready for Halloween to be on a Friday or Saturday, this middle of the week stuff is really messing with me.
I’m a big fan of dressing in costume and I pride myself on going all out when I do.
A lot of gals feel the need to bring out their inner slut, sporting “sexy maid” or “sexy cat” or sexy anything as long as they get to wear fishnets and heels as part of their costume……..you know who you are!
I am not a member of this tribe as you can see from my 2003 costume:

I am by no means a fan of Carrot Top ( who is? ) but when you have an orange afro wig and some old cargo shorts, you got yourself a costume!
The first time I met Ben he was dressed as Hooper which is hard to top, the next year I helped him take it to “11″ with this lovely David Smalls (bass player for Spinal Tap) costume.

Whatever you wear and whatever you do, be safe and don’t trust anyone who passes out Circus Peanuts, those things are nasty!!!!
Gone Baby Gone, The Fair is Gone October 22, 2007
“As happy as I am to see the Fair come, I’m as happy to see it go” (Richard Krall)

The last night brought everyone out to the Fair, the Midway was crazy busy.
Robin was the only brave one among us to ride anything and she picked the scariest ride!

Ran into J Rudak and Terri Berri, we all watched as Robin was hurled into the air and turned upside down, over and over and over again.

JP was there too!

We all stopped by to wish our favorite Carny, Robert Busch, safe travels back to Minnesota.
Robert Busch =Nicest Carny ever!

State Fair Round 6 October 15, 2007
Last night was a “girls night out” at the Fair.
We watched the pig races, stalked the Card Stacker and of course, dropped by to see Robert Busch on the Midway.

Have you seen this year’s “Butter Sculpture”?
Every year the butter sculpture lady creates a life size sculpture entirely out of butter.
One year it was Elvis, last year it was Marilyn Monroe.
This year is….well, you take a look for yourself:
The glass case made it hard to capture these images but hopefully you can see this is a butter sculpture of farm animals trying to escape out of a hot air balloon basket.
I’m at a loss.
The petting zoo is one of my favorite destinations.
Pigs, goats, donkeys oh my!
State Fair Round 4 October 10, 2007
My whole office ( all 5 of us ) went to the Fair yesterday, what a grand time we had.
Stopped by to see Carny #1, Robert Busch, aren’t we a cute couple!
Check out the “Midway Barker”, he’s got no legs!
How do they do that? I don’t really care.
Have you tried a Fried Latte yet? It’s not what you think.
Sopapillas + coffee ice cream + whipped cream +coffe sprinkles…..delicious!
I give it 4 stars.
Human Cannonball October 3, 2007
Make sure to click on the “Human Cannonball – State Fair of Texas” tab under my Blog Roll. Richard was lucky enough to catch the “premiere performance” opening night of the Fair. Awesome.
